Cigar Review of the Week - Oliva Serie G
This week I smoked the Oliva Serie G Figurado (6X60), which is a medium body blend made with an authentic African-Cameroon wrapper. The unique flavor of this wrapper are complimented by the natural richness of the Nicaraguan Habano fillers.
The Figurado G is one of my favorite cigars, whether I am on the golf course or at a formal cigar tasting this cigar has never let me down. I love the notes of cedar and coffee, along with medium body finish. And to top this review off, the price of cigar seem impossibly low! The cigar that I smoked priced out at around $4.00 per stick! Finally, the best part of this cigar is what I call the BURN. I have smoked over 20 of the Figurado G's over the past 4 months and I have NEVER had a bad burn. It has continued to burn even, cool, and slow. Needless to say, my humidor is full of this great cigar.
With the flavor, price, and burn quality the Oliva Serie G Figurado I rate this cigar 4.8 out of 5 smoke rings!

Other Cigars Sampled
Rocky Patel Old World
The Rocky Patel Old World Toro is a cigar to remember! This cigar has great cocoa, vanilla, and spice flavors, with an oily wrapper that completes the package. Overall, a medium to full-bodied cigar with a long finish.
Oliva Cigar Nub
Brought to us by Oliva Cigars, Nub is an outstanding new concept. Don't be fooled by the size, this compact cigar is a slow-burning smoke that provides the best flavor a quater of the way through. Overall, good cigar.
Gurkha Beast
The presentation on this cigar from stick to box is stunning. However that's where it stops. At a price $18 - $25 per smoke, I was looking for a GREAT cigar and I did not get it. If the beast was an $8.00 cigar then this review would be very different.
Cyber Cigar Shopping
As I continue to search the web for new and exciting online cigar companies, I came across a new start-up that not only provides great deals but also provides a new look and feel to the age old cigar business. The company that I am reviewing is www.gotticigar.com . Gotti Cigar provides a new and clean look to the typical online cigar website. They focus on what we want out of a site, an easy way to order cigars! They droped the website cluttered with photos and offers on junk cigars, and replaced them with a simple way to find great cigars at good prices.
Also don't forget to check our thier cool new Gotti Gear!
Cigar Lounge Revew
When I travel to cities through out our great nation the first thing that I look for is a great cigar bar where I can kick back, sip on a refreshing martini, and savor my favorite cigar. One of my favorite cigar locations is San Francisco's premiere smoking-friendly cigar bar - The Occidental Cigar Club. The Occidental Cigar Club opened it's doors in San Francisco in June of 2001. Because it is owner-operated, smoking is allowed indoors at the bar. They offer a wide selection of fine spirits including an extensive list of single malt scotches and single barrel bourbons to enhance your cigar smoking experience. They also offer an ever-expanding selection of cigars from their in-house humidor. In addition, they have 36 cigar lockers, equipped with humidors, that are available for rent. I would highly recommend the Occidental Club to anyone who travels to San Francisco. Location: 471 Pine Street • San Francisco, CA 94101

Scotch Review
- OBAN™ 14 YEAR OLD
SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY -
Oban is the frontier between the West Highlands and the Islands; the meeting place between land and sea. A perfect, sheltered harbour makes it the principal seaport for the Isles and the capital of the West Highlands. It has a mild, temperate climate, warmed by the Gulf Stream and washed (too often, some might say) by the soft rain that often falls hereabouts. This misty, briny character, with a background of heather and peat, is perfectly echoed in the malt whisky produced at Oban.
Strength: 43% ABV
Appearance: Olive gold.
Nose: Rich sweetness and fruits - oranges, lemons and pears, with sea-salt and peaty smokiness.
Body: Full, rich.
Palate: Mouth-filling late autumn fruits - dried figs and honey-sweet spices; followed by a smoky malty dryness.
Finish: Long, smooth-sweet finish with oak-wood, dryness and a grain of salt.
